How much can you get from workers compensation?
There’s a weekly benefit from workers compensation that are given to workers when they get injured during work that are bad enough to give them a hard time going back to work.
The befits they get depend on which state they are in and whether they can still return to work.
Even though the workers compensation benefits vary by state, there are general benefits that will be given to the workers for support.
If your workers compensation claim is open and approved, they will get benefits depending on the capacity they have to return to work even to do light work given by employers. The temporary total disability or the time loss for work caused by injury is covered by workers compensation but it depends on the laws in the state they are in. The amount they will receive is the percentage of their wages at the date of injury. In many states, the percentage is 66 2/3%. Time loss compensation benefits are usually given periodical or usually twice a month. However, the rules in the state may allow the employer to pay the worker once a month or once per week. The important thing to keep in mind is that temporary disability benefits will likely be less than the amount the worker was eating while he was still working.
